The Management

The Managing Director, Mr.N.Ashoken, a dual post graduate, has worked extensively with major European Machine, tools and consumables manufacturers in the field of natural stone for over 3 decades.

In the early 90s, Mr.Ashoken was one of the most sought-after consultants for setting up granite processing units with all-German imported machines. By which he has set up numerous units pan-Asia.

In the domestic market, he has a rich and varied experience in quarrying, manufacturing, marketing and financial management in the arena of Granite & Marble calibrated tiles, Monuments and Rough block exports for over 2 decades.

His in-depth knowledge and experience in Natural stone industry, both Indian and international, is one that is highly robust and all-encompassing. And his productive global tours and excellent rapport established with leading buyers in the world have earned him wide recognition.

Mr.Ashoken’s vision, leadership and character has been instrumental in the success of OM Export’s success.

Mr.Arvind, the second generation to take up the business is At present, Om Exports is also lead by Mr.Ashoken’s Son, Mr.Arvind who is a graduate Engineer and a Post-graduate in Operations Management. He has worked in Germany, with administrative and hands-on experience post his studies in both processing and tool manufacturing sectors of Natural stone industry and has He has hands-on experience and has international market exposure.

He is well experienced at selector of rough Granite rough block selection and adept at inspection of fully finished monuments and rough blocks which bolsters the company’s ability to maintain exceptional quality that is expected of OM EXPORTS. He is keen on taking monument processing to the next level by employing modern technology and newer processing methods.

Location

The factory is located at Chennai’s most industrialized area, SIPCOT, Irungattukottai. It is located equidistant and in close proximity to Chennai’s Sea ports such as Madras port, Ennore and krishnapattinam. The Factory is spread over 8000 sq.meters. amide the country’s best manufacturers.

Chennai, in the late 90s was the epicenter for all natural stone related activity in India. It houses India’s most prestigious & pioneering granite processing companies, where the initiation and growth of Indian monument manufacturing started. The city’s affair with stone is but contemporary. Monolithic temples of Mahabalipuram, and the serene & divine Gopurams of Kapaleeshwarar date back to 800AD.

Today, Chennai is also one of the largest and fastest growing centers for automotive and IT sectors, employing lakhs of home grown engineering graduates from over a thousand engineering institutions from across India. We are a company that deals with Natural stone products, specifically, Granite Monuments and Tombstones. Granite Monuments are erected in memory of the departed and is an age old tradition of great importance and emotional value. We are driven by a passion to create a monument which serves as a capsule of memories, love and identity of the Departed for his or her family.

Our factory where the Stone is brought to life, is equipped with some of the most robust and precise cutting and polishing machines, imported from renowned European Machinery Brands.

Our staff and operators, qualified graduates, are trained under a program which has been crafted in consultation with European technicians. Part of the training includes teaching the emotional and sentimental value of a Monument and the great importance to the client. We believe this goes a great length in enhancing the quality of the end product.

Moreover, we place Quality first and with no compromise, whether it is the selection of raw block, or utilization of the highest quality of cutting and polishing tools and abrasives. We work towards integrating quality in every aspect of our business.
